SPACE INVADERS

The name of our presenter was Sean Holiday and he worked for EA which is interesting because I used to play lots of EA video games like for example golf.

The only experience I have with coding is my grandmas computer because sometimes I would go on it and try new things and mess around with it to see what I can learn, besides that I was pretty much new with it.

A  positive experience I had was learning how to add more layers of aliens so I could have constant rows spawning forth instead of just one every time.

A negative experience I had was putting a code in the wrong spot even if the code was  a bit off it would not work properly and would have to be changed

For the codes I enjoyed changing the speed of my ship so instead of like 5 I had it on 50 so my ship would move around back and forth a lot faster so it wasnt that easy to hit the curtain alien that I was going for.

space invader proof

To make this assignment better we could have the aliens trying to attack our ship with lasers so that whenever we got hit we would lose a live, the amount of lives you have would be completely up to you .

Field Trip -Science World

What are 5 things I learnt

1, When voltage is applied to electrodes built inside a window, the crystals line up allowing light to pass threw a clear window.

2, When vibrating a guitar string its stripes flash a dark background but stands out well against white, as the cylinder spins the white stripes flash by, getting a quick glimpse of the string as the white stripes move under it.

3, As you bring mirrors closer together you can see more reflections because each mirror reflects light coming from you which reflects again with more mirrors.

4, Warm objects including you give off invisible light, the camera that was displayed on the screen detects infrared light and turns it into an image you can see, warm appears yellow and white, cold appears blue and green.

5, Some of your joints do not allow any movement like the bones in your skull which are held together with fibrous connective tissues, some joints can move such as those between the vertebrae of your spine which are connected to each other by pads of cartilage.

I think this field trip was worth while because we got to learn and explore many things we have not seen before, I think it  was a great way to see how figures shapes objects and characters are made just like how we learnt to make some characters and shapes and edits from the apps we learnt such as illustrator, Photoshop, Animate ..ext.

To ever improve in the future many you could assign groups and make them find out pacifically how to do something and how its used in movies and shows and stuff like that, but overall it was a great field trip.

Video came out blurry on YouTube but fine on the app and the sound is a little quiet for the personal videos i made so have that part on full volume, thank you : )

Animate

animate-onion-circlee

1, We used an onion effect to show previous movement which is located at the bottom left on the app, then we added a rectangle with a ball making its way over it from one side to another using key frames.

animate-shape-tween-2

2, Next we used shape tween, which is when we get one shape with a color and add a key frame, then add another shape with a different color and key frame over it. Then we right click the mouse and add shape tween to it.

animate-classic-3

3, Then used the classic effect when we add a shape with a key frame then we would move the shape across the screen and add another key frame so it has a sliding motion. To access just right click your mouse after adding a shape with key frames.

animate-glowing-star-4

4, Another cool feature is the glowing star. First we added a star, then we made it a curtain color with a key frame, then we kept repeating this process with different colors so it was a blinking color effect.

animate-stickman-5

5, The last neat feature we did was the stick man,  first with the pen/paintbrush we drew a stick man, then we added the bone tool and made lines threw the stick mans arms and legs. Then we would move them around and add a key frame, then repeat it as many times as you would like and finally you would play it back to see his movement.

COMPUTER MIND MAP

computer mind map1) what is the brain of the computer?- The brain of the computer is the motherboard

2) what does RAM stand for ?- RAM stands for random access memory

3)what happens to a computer if it doesn’t have enough RAM?-  it will slow down your computer and make it very difficult to use and run the computer properly

4)what is the difference between RAM and storage?- RAM is the place where an application loads it’s data during process , storage is the place where data is stored or long or short term retention

5)what are 3 external devices that a PC connects to- a mouse, keyboard  and a monitor
